Elena Bellini graduated in Architecture (2012‐UNIFI), with a thesis entitled “HabitatZERO as urban and social re-qualification intervention” (“HabitatZERO come intervento di riqualificazione urbana e sociale”). Since 2012 she is teaching assistant in the course on Environmental Planning and Design. She has participated since 2014 in the research project Tools and methods for new social housing models for enhancing the value of the public housing heritage (Strumenti e metodi per l’offerta di nuovi modelli abitativi sociali di valorizzazione del patrimonio immobiliare pubblico) (Publicasa Spa). In 2012 she participated in the Competition for the eco-sustainable re-qualification of Dietro Poggio (in collaboration with Studio Romualdi), and received a public appointment for the drafting of the Guidelines for the sustainable development of the neighbourhood, for the new planning regulations in Calenzano. Since 2014 she has also been involved in research and design of therapeutic spaces for cognitive disabilities.
