Has a B.A. in Industrial Design and post-graduate studies in Graphic Design and Corporate Strategy, from UNIVALI, as well as an M.A. in Design and Graphic Expression from UFSC, Brazil. He has worked in the area of ceramic cladding, as Product Designer and Coordinator for the Creation of new products at Ceramica Portobello, from 1997 to 2008. In 2008 he won the award: “IF PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD” with VlSION, a product of porcelain enamel. He is Professor of Design at the UFSM (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, in Brazil) since 2009. Ceramic Cladding Design: Proposal for the development of a method based upon the design practices of tile designers. The topic of the PhD dissertation is the culture of the project applied to ceramic objects. The aim of this research will be the analysis and further considerations regarding design practices as related to the production of ceramic tiles. The purpose of this research is also that of verifying an approach to the project, on the basis of knowledge regarding the design practices of designers of certain sectors of product development, to be applied to the production of ceramic tiles and for its use for educational purposes in the Degree Courses in Industrial Design.
